Title: recommend a new headset
Post by: Videl on August 30, 2008, 12:48:34 PM
K, my microphone died on my current cheap ass headset. I'm planning to order a replacement, so someone point me in the direction of some quality shit, thanks.

Do not get Logitech. They have been awful for me and break all the time.  My current one is a Plantronics one and I love it.  No problems at all, and its been 6+ months.

this was a good mic for me, it eventually broke on me, or a better way to say it is that it broke on my wall.

I have had 3 pairs of 151s they are the best sounding headset and the mic is great from what people tell me. The reaon I have had 3 pairs is mainly my anger issues and its not as heavy duty wire coming to the headset. It is very very good though because it is sooo llight weight and it will never hurt your ears or make them tired. They are generally under 50 bux from newegg. I think i got my last pair for 35ish i think.

I've used my Plantronics Game Pro 1 for years at this point (probably closing in on 3). It still works great, though the occasional person will say I sound bass-y, though that's been through out the time I've had it, not something that developed. So Plantronics has my vote.
