Post by: Rey on November 04, 2008, 01:17:50 PM: as some of you know i'm like a fucking fanatic of games like resident evil and zombie games in general. rome told me about this game awhile back then i kinda forgot about it but have been recently watching the demos and videos and shit since it's close to launch. is anyone else going to be playing this? i know rome and i will but it'd be cool if more of you played with us so we didn't have to play with retards. here's an awesome video, music is very fitting:

Will be interesting to see how the vs mode plays out.

Post by: Burg on November 15, 2008, 01:20:34 AM: While the 360 version of this is going to be a lot better than the orange box, you really need to get the PC one. If your PC runs wow, it runs this (all the source shit really). The amount of free new maps, characters, weapons, etc makes it more than worth it. In order for Valve to release the DLC on the 360, they have to wait longer and make larger updates, and they are forced to sell it by Microsoft rather than give it away.

So I own left for dead, right. I got home for the holidays, and my parents actually have a pretty burly mac now. Is there a way to redownload l4d and just play it without buying it? I can't seem to find one, because you can't install steam on a mac. Anyone have any ideas?

A new Survival map will also be shipped, dubbed: The Last Stand. "With nowhere else to go, our four survivors have retreated to a lighthouse on a point for their final stand.

Survival Mode, places the four survivors on an empty map. They then have the chance to prepare themselves for the endless wave upon wave of infected that will surround them. Once prepared and ready for action, a simple button is pressed and the battle for survival begins.

During the battle, you can expect to fight off up to four Hunters at once. Chances are you might even have to fight of multiple Tanks and Smokers. This fantastic new addition to Left 4 Dead will also sport some new music and a few new survivor quips.

Along with the new Survival mode, we will also get our hands on the official version of Dead Air and Death Toll in versus. We were worried that the levels wouldn't be updated and fixed like the current campaigns have been fixed. Chet assures us: "Both [campaigns] have been heavily modified based on feedback we received from players on No Mercy and Blood Harvest". Chet wars about the area in Death Toll with the news van, outside the theatre "is one of the most chaotic Versus maps in the game. The mix of indoor and outdoor spaces makes every entrance and exit a battle."
