Bring it on!!
Nevermind, online play lags way too much.
-
even with good internets?
-
I was using a wireless connection so maybe that had something to do with it.
-
So was I, couldn't even get games connected.
-
Apparently every player has to con green in the friend's list. But even so it can spike and there is huge button delay, I couldn't even begin to imagine adding a wireless connection into the mix. gg netcode.

So what do you guys think of the game overall? i've been playing a ton recently and i feel like they did a pretty good job on balancing and stuff, but on that note, the only other fighting games i've really got into before this were Soul Calibur 1/2 and Smash Bros/melee so i don't have the most diverse fighting game experience.
-
I love the series, but I felt like they just added 5 or 6 new characters and left the old ones the same. Mario and his water cannon is the only new move they gave someone that I can think of. I thought the addition of the Subspace Emissary thing was kinda cool at first, but it got repetative.
As a standalone game, I give it 4.5/5.
Comparing to SSBM, 3/5 because it's just the same game with a new name.

super moves are kinda cool

Yeah, until I hit it 5 times with Samus and don't get it while my brother playing Pit does 1 normal attack and steals it.
-
thats because pit is awesome

I think they over complicated the backgrounds for the arena's or at least my visions shitty enough i lose focus of who i'm playing if too much is going on and usually results in me walking off the edge which is lame, but skipping melee for that reason I like having more characters than the 64 version.
-
And what is the deal with these items? Like 5 things are the same shape and size (small, grey, and round) but do different things.
-
It's a fun game if you play it as the series was meant to be played, with friends, locally. If you treat it as anything else, you'll get bored quickly and move on.

I was way better at melee. This is a party game, not a tournament game, unlike melee, which was both.
They slowed the fighting down significantly, and amped up the stylization of the hits, making for an overall less skillful, but more visually spectacular game.
LOL!
