Miku Hatsune is a fairly popular character on Youtube and Niconico Douga. She's a character created by Crypton Future Media to represent their sound package for Yamaha's Vocaloid system. Vocaloid, in short, is a program used to create a synthesized singer.

The end result is a ton of user-generated content, from covers and parodies to original songs. The popularity of Miku has also lead to the development of some freeware dance video studios using user created 3d models. Anyways, here's just a few of the more impressive/weird videos.

As with all stories, there are character archetypes that pop up and develop within anime and related media.
The 'dere' (day-ray) archetypes are among the largest archetypes and an example if one can be found in pretty much every romantic comedy produced by Japan in recent years.

Dere is the affectionate type of the archetype, this further attatches itself to:

Tsundere: outwardly conflictive, and appears to not get along with another character, but secretly harbors or develops romantic feelings towards said character.

Kuudere: outwardly emotionless and stoic but secretly harbors or develops yadda yadda yadda...
