Unless you are going to overclock or something you'll be fine with the cooler it comes with.
Not only this, but getting some of those aftermarket HSF's secure is probably the biggest pain in the ass out of all the assembly req's
Yeah, but having a directional sink as opposed to the "I blow air at the processor and into the case" stock kind help overall airflow in a big way. 20 bucks and 10 minutes of installation hassle are worth never having to worry about your processor having trouble, and bringing the overall case temp down by venting CPU heat out the top.

Don't skimp on the motherboard...remember that's how you got in the mess.
Asus, Gigabyte, DFI are some of the most respected brands. I personally choose Gigabyte.

Like Broseph Stalin, you are leading the way to the dictatorship of the broletariate. It is truly revbrolutionary. Like the Bro v. Wade of our generation. You brobliterate the enemy from the very peak of Mt. Brolympus. That's some shit. That's brolific. But that's the kind of bro you are.

I'd go with someone other then ASUS, personally. I've never had one of their products not run into some kind of problem, and getting drivers/firmware from them is like fucking a cactus. Don't even get me started on their RMA process, or the fact that their customer support, as far as I can tell, is located somewhere inside India's red light district, and the people who answer the phones are angry they have to stop running their phone-sex operation.

Despite my aversion to ASUS, within your price range, check out: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131333Really solid specs, and the reviews (all 5 of em) love it. The one you posted is nice as well, Bag, but it dosen't have a PCIE-2.0 slot, which means if you ever upgrade to a newer graphics card, you won't be running it at 100%

what about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128337
That's not bad really, neither is the Asus Lan listed. I checked it out and they are all in stock in NJ (both motherboards also) and if you order by noon tomorrow you will have them on Monday.(only reason I know this is because my company orders from Newegg on a weekly basis) It's only a one day transit time from their warehouse in NJ. I suggest you have them shipped to your work address also if possible.
