The StarCraft II beta went live today with 20,000 invites in the first wave. If anyone managed to snag one and doesn't plan on using it, I'd be willing to trade quite a bit of gold for it. I think my account officially goes offline in March though, so the trade would have to be fairly soon.

No, when I got mine you get a serial number that you can apply to any battle.net account.

After playing it for a little bit, I have to say that I'm dissapointed with the art direction they took. The original units were a lot more sharp looking and had defined edges, which worked especially well for the Terran buildings. Now everything is so rounded that the game lost the "war" feeling and it all looks like a dog's squeeky toy. And maybe it's just me, but a lot of the new units look somewhat similar and there isn't that sense of diversity that the first one had.
