I hate when people (cough, Dave) use the term "Techno" to describe EDM.

I'll be at the Zoo this year too dude.  And yes, last year was fucking phenomenal.  80 degrees all weekend, 12pm-12am non-stop awesome music.  Can honestly rank that weekend as one of the best weekends of my life.

hard to make it down to NYC with any regularity (~3.5 hr trip).  my next trip will probably be for derrick carter + mark farina @ that new club that I think the people from Sullivan room own (District 36 I think it's called).  I've seen Wolfgang Gartner a few times, and the sets are good, but not worth it since I usually can catch Hot Pink Delorean or other such electro locals at Rise in Boston.  hard to find real deal funky or deep house music in Boston, though, so I'll travel for that.

I am usually way more partial to house than I am to trance.  even progressive house annoys me after a little while.  I need Chicago/deep/funky/jackin house.  I like electro from time to time, but it has to be either really hard or really funky electro, none of that shitty fidget zipper-house nonsense.

I'll probably be going to Derrick Carter as well, dude is a machine.  I've always been more of a trance fiend, but house, electro and techno are awesome as well.  Last show I went to was Fedde at Pacha and it was awesome.

I'm sorry I missed Fedde.  I almost went down for it.  I was down in NYC for NYE; saw Lazy Rich, Terry Mullan, Todd Edwards, and some others down at some like, dim sum spot in Chinatown (lol?) and it was awesome.  Fucking Terry Mullan is a golden god, man.  I shazam'd so many tracks on my phone that night.  I could seriously just get down to Chicago house all night.  I'm going down to RI tomorrow for Klever.
